Jonathan L. Lumbard is the new regionally appointed member (RAM) for Mountain Plains Region to the National Board of Directors of Open Bible Churches, effective October 1, 2019.

President Randall Bach said,

Jonathan Lumbard adds a young but seasoned perspective to the National Board of Directors, along with a love for and deep roots with Open Bible Churches. I love Jonathan’s gentle and inquisitive heart. He longs to experience everything the Holy Spirit offers. I am pleased Jonathan is joining the national board team. He has a keen desire to both learn and contribute.”

Jonathan is the lead pastor of Spirit of Life, an Open Bible church in Kearney, Nebraska. He serves on the board of Collage Center, a non-profit organization that offers care and support to men and women facing unexpected challenges associated with pregnancy, STDs, and traumatic events. He has also served as a staff pastor and an associate pastor, and was the director of the Des Moines Master’s Commission. In addition, Jonathan authored the book Sustaining Presence: Creating a Landing Pad for the Supernatural.

What an honor to be asked to represent the Mountain Plains Region on the National Board of Open Bible Churches!” Jonathan said. “It is encouraging to be a part of a movement that recognizes anointing and calling and offers ‘a seat at the table’ regardless of age, sex, or nationality. I am looking forward to being on such a diverse board that not only serves Open Bible Churches worldwide, but also serves as a voice in the greater body of Christ. As a fourth generation Open Bible minister, this appointment in many ways is surreal. I remember being a kid running around at national conventions admiring many people that I considered ‘giants in the faith.’ My prayer is that I would offer a similar example to young emerging leaders in our movement. My motivating ambition is that I may someday have a small part in another genuine, undeniable move of God that sweeps across our nation and the world, a move marked by salvations, healings, signs, wonders, and miracles. To God be the glory!”

Jonathan and his wife, Rebecca (Becky), have three daughters: Kayleigh, Aria, and Lydia.
