In order to take the next step he believes God has for him, Lucas Hansen stepped down as Digital Media Manager for Open Bible Churches, effective February 22, 2021. Lucas came from Spokane Valley, Washington, to Open Bible’s national office more than two years ago. Whether creating promotional videos, filming ministry and teaching videos, or helping to create and design online publications, including the Message magazine, he has excelled at everything he put his hand to.

President Randall A. Bach said, “Lucas quickly became valued like gold. He demonstrated maturity and a work ethic that far surpassed what one would typically expect of a young man his age. Everyone in the office fell in love with Lucas, like he was a grandson, son, or brother. His gentle and winsome demeanor connected with people. Lucas’s skill sets and creativity became obvious, beyond what could be appreciated when he was hired, and he took us to a new level of digital communication. It was a joy to hear him refer to this as his ‘dream job.’”

“I have had a great experience working with Open Bible,” Lucas said. “While it is certainly bittersweet to say goodbye, I believe this step is the next thing that God has for me. I’ve enjoyed every minute of working at Open Bible and have made incredible friends along the way. I never would have thought that I’d end up in Iowa and that I’d end up loving what I do so much. I want to say thank you to Randall and the rest of the Open Bible staff for all the blessings and encouragement you have given me over the past couple of years. It has been nothing short of an honor to serve with them for the glory of the Lord. I wish nothing but great things for Open Bible, and I’m glad I got to spend the time at the national office that I did.”
