Hannah Bemis now serves as the newest editor and director of the Message of the Open Bible.

As a regular Open Bible contributor and collaborator with former editor Andrea Johnson, Hannah comes with the highest recommendation from several of her peers and from Andrea herself. Hannah is a graduate of New Hope Christian College and George Fox University and has served as an educator, writer, and pastor. She and her husband Jordan have three children and currently serve at Turning Point Church in Spokane, Washington.

President Michael Nortune states, “Hannah brings a wealth of experience and a deep passion for Open Bible, communicating with insightful and engaging content that inspires, equips, and challenges all who read. As a credentialed minister and staff pastor with Open Bible, she also carries a heart for local churches and pastors. We are confident Hannah’s expertise, fresh perspective, and creative communication will contribute to the Message and will add significantly to its continued growth, development, and impact.”

As Hannah launches into her new role, she shares, “I am honored and excited to build on Andrea Johnson’s strong foundation as Message editor. Discovering Open Bible’s best stories and finding creative ways to share them is a challenge I look forward to. God is always doing something new; may the Message be a vessel for the fresh vision and new voices God is raising up.”
