We are pleased to welcome Rhonda Hoekstra as our new accountant at the national office. She replaces Ryan Mills, who, after assisting us immeasurably during a critically important transitional accounting stage, is returning to his accounting consulting business. Rhonda has nearly 30 years of accounting experience with 13 of those years using Dynamics GP, the accounting program used by Open Bible Churches.

Brian Ehlers, secretary/treasurer for Open Bible Churches, said, “We are thankful to have Rhonda joining our team. We believe God has called her here for such a time as this. Her experience and dedication will be a real asset as we move forward into God’s best for Open Bible Churches.”

Rhonda gave her heart to the Lord at the Open Bible church in Austin, Minnesota, attended Open Bible youth camps, and attended Open Bible College for a year. She lived in Arizona and Minnesota before recently moving back to the Des Moines area.

“I am excited and honored to be joining the Open Bible team,” she said. “It is so amazing how God works. A few months ago my husband and I were in the area [of the national office], and I asked him to drive up to the building. I went down memory lane with him recalling the time I was in school, which used to be right by the office. Little did I know that I would be working here.”
