What we do with that life is our gift to the Creator. Life is like a seed planted in the ground; it must be watered, cared for, and cultivated so the seed can grow and thrive. However, if&nbsp;the seed is not planted and cultivated, the&nbsp;seed will die. Every seed has a purpose. That purpose depends on the nature of the seed.&nbsp;Some&nbsp;seeds produce fruit-bearing trees&nbsp;while other&nbsp;seeds produce flowering plants. There are seeds that produce the vegetables and grains that we consume&nbsp;daily. The \u201cseed\u201d of a woman is no different. The offspring of a woman is a seed&nbsp;full of potential&nbsp;that is planted in the earth. Every life has a purpose,&nbsp;even a life born in obscurity.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In&nbsp;1973&nbsp;the U.S. Supreme Court ruled&nbsp;in the&nbsp;Roe v Wade landmark decision that the Constitution of the United States protects a woman\u2019s freedom to choose to have an abortion without excessive government restriction.&nbsp;Abortion is defined as the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy, most often performed during the first 28 weeks of pregnancy.&nbsp;This case prompted an ongoing national debate in the United States about whether abortion should be legal and what role&nbsp;religious and moral viewpoints&nbsp;should&nbsp;play&nbsp;in the political realm.&nbsp;Abortion is a topic that has been intensely debated for decades.&nbsp;Since 1973 there have been&nbsp;over&nbsp;61,628,584 abortions in the United&nbsp;States.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While over 61&nbsp;million lives have been terminated through abortion, perhaps billions of lives have been&nbsp;saved because a mother decided not to go through with the process.&nbsp;The miracle of life is undeniably the greatest gift given to us by God.&nbsp;That life is&nbsp;filled with&nbsp;abundant potential and purpose.&nbsp;The mothers of some&nbsp;of our most&nbsp;famous individuals&nbsp;were faced with the choice&nbsp;whether&nbsp;to abort them; however,&nbsp;they&nbsp;decided against it.&nbsp;These individuals&nbsp;have left a lasting impact on society.&nbsp;Here&nbsp;is&nbsp;what you may not know.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Tim Tebow<\/strong><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> won the Heisman Trophy and two national championships as a quarterback for the University of Florida.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> He is known for his practice of prayer on the football field. <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">His<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> mom<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">was diagnosed with amoebic dysentery<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, and c<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">omplications arose when she became pregnant with Tim. She was even told that getting an abortion would be the only way to save her <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">own <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">life.<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">However, Pam<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> prayed and subsequently<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> refused to have an abo<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">rtion<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Tim and Pam are living<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> breathing miracles.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">S<\/span><\/b><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">teve Jobs<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"none\">, founder of Apple and one of America\u2019s true greats<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\"> was almost a victim of an abortion. He state<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">d that he wanted to meet his<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\"> natural mother to thank her because <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">she did not abort him<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">. <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u201c<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">She was 23 and she went through a lot to have me<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u201d<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\"> he stated.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">A<\/span><\/b><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">ndrea Bocelli<\/span><\/b> <span data-contrast=\"none\">is a<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\"> blind opera singer<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"none\">with <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">an<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\"> amazing voice. Bocelli recount<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">ed<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\"> the story of a pregnant woman who was admitted to <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">a <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">hospital with appendicitis.<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"none\">\u201c<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">The doctors had to apply some ice on her stomach and when the treatments ended the doctors suggested that she abort the child,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u201d<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\"> said the singer.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\"> \u201c<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">They told her it was the best solution because the baby would be born with some disability.<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"none\">But the young<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\"> brave wife decided not to abort, and the child was born<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">.<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"none\">That woman was my mother, and I was the child.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u201d&nbsp;<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">Celine Dion<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"none\">, an award-winning Canadian singer and songwriter <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">is the youngest of 14 <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">children<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">.<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"none\">H<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">e<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">r mom <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">considered aborti<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">on<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\"> because<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"none\">she was <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">so overwhelmed with the <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">13 <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">children<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\"> she already had<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">.<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"none\">Upon visiting her parish priest s<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">he was advised against abortion. Celine Dion says, <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u201c<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">Once she got over her disappointment that an abortion was out of the question, she loved me as passionately as she<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u2019<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">d loved the last little ones<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All&nbsp;these individuals are world changers who have made substantial contributions to society.&nbsp;If the seed of their lives&nbsp;had&nbsp;not&nbsp;been&nbsp;planted,&nbsp;we would not have the opportunity to benefit from their gifts and talents. There are thousands of others we come in contact with every day who had parents that considered abortion but chose life instead. They are just as important even if we do not recognize their names. Every life is a gift from God. What is done with that life is our gift back to Him.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you are reading this article, you are a living,&nbsp;breathing miracle full of potential and purpose, a gift from God.&nbsp;There may be someone reading this article&nbsp;whose&nbsp;mother considered abortion, but she did not go through with it. Your life matters,&nbsp;and your purpose is meant to be fulfilled.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This&nbsp;article&nbsp;is not meant to condemn anyone who has had an abortion.&nbsp;Instead,&nbsp;it&nbsp;is meant to encourage and to highlight the value of human life.&nbsp;Countless women&nbsp;who&nbsp;were young&nbsp;or&nbsp;afraid felt that&nbsp;abortion&nbsp;was the best option at the time.&nbsp;If you have had an abortion, do not allow yourself to suffer from guilt or condemnation. God loves you. Go to Him and ask Him for forgiveness, and then know that He no longer condemns you. His love for us does not diminish because of our actions. His love is unconditional.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you or someone you know is contemplating abortion, I encourage you to remember that every life has a purpose. Seek help and support.
