Gary Khan has been appointed as the new regionally appointed member (RAM) for Pacific Region to the National Board of Directors of Open Bible Churches, effective December 1, 2020.
“Gary is multi-talented as a speaker, worship leader, and (unofficial) comedian,” commented President Randall Bach. “He is able to find an appropriately light and humorous perspective in the midst of difficult challenges. Gary will bring a valued voice to the National Board of Directors.”
Gary Khan has served as the lead pastor of Desert Streams Church of the Open Bible in Santa Clarita, California, since 1999. He and his wife, DeLaine, are graduates of Eugene Bible College, now New Hope Christian College. Gary has been ordained with Open Bible since 1990, has served as the district director for the Southern California/Arizona district and member of the Pacific Region Board of Directors since 2014, and is also a gifted writer.
Regarding the appointment, Gary Khan said, “I look forward to the opportunity to collaborate with other amazing people in Open Bible as we prayerfully, strategically, and graciously follow God’s heart for His people through our movement.”
Gary and DeLaine have been married for more than 30 years and have two grown children, Ethan and Allison.
