Open Bible’s MOVEMENT, a ministry designed to raise up a new generation of young leaders in Open Bible, was hit by a COVID pause button and forced to wait until September of 2021 to restart. COVID still kept a few people from participating, but Pastor Michael Nortune, the director of MOVEMENT, Open Bible President Randall A. Bach, and 25 Open Bible leaders of young adults gathered in Denver from the evening of September 9 through the evening of September 10 to strategize and pray about how to cause MOVEMENT to become both a magnet for and a developer of young leaders. The energy in the room was inspirational!
Michael Nortune, who led the gathering, emphasized this theme: Community, Cause, and Calling. Randall drew a parallel between our founding in 1935 and the launch of MOVEMENT. Denver was a strategic launch pad, not intended to attract masses of people. Rather, regionally selected and sponsored participants were invited to be part of this first event. Plans are being made for the next step, which will involve more participants. Stay tuned! MOVEMENT is exciting!
