“Many times in my life, people would encourage me during difficult times to hang on because ‘just around the corner’ good things were waiting for me. I experienced years of depression and guilt. One day in despair I said, ‘There had better be a corner!’ My journey took me through learning how to deal with depression to helping others through their journeys.”

Kris led the Open Bible Women’s Network for ten years and then started her coaching business, MaxCoach by Kris, in 2015. She and her husband, Jim, recently retired from 47 years of ministry and live in the Tampa Bay area of Florida. They have three married sons and seven grandchildren.

Gary Wyatt, author, musician, songwriter, and lead pastor of SureHouse Open Bible Church in Tacoma, Washington, has launched a new project called “Quiet With Gary Wyatt.” It is a daily devotional designed to help people spend time with God. Each of the devotionals, one for every day of the year, take less than ten minutes.

Gary said, “As I get older, I’m reinventing myself – not to retire, but to re-fire! What makes this devotional unique is that it has a prelude, a prayer, a passage, a praise, and a proclamation, which no other devotional in the world has as far as I know.”

You can access the devotions here.

But we don’t have to live as victims; we can still live joyfully and victoriously through these things. It is a choice we must make, and we must constantly remind ourselves that we are called to be atmosphere changers – people who impact the world and culture around us. We can make a difference!
